"BET GIYORGIS"

This batch of Security Blankets is inspired by sacred locations around the globe! We call this collection "Sacred Sites".

Bet Giyorgis, Ethiopia - Bet Giyorgis ("Church of St. George") is a 12th-century church carved directly into the rock around Lalibela, Ethiopia. Bet Giyorgis, though, is just the most famous of 11 churches carved into the bedrock originally designed to emulate Jerusalem. Travelers can explore this most unique of holy sites via winding tunnels and passageways dozens of feet below surface level.

Made from vintage, one-of-a-kind Afghans, sourced sustainably and made by hand, one stitch at a time. Each one is entirely unique so if you see one that speaks to you--scoop it up before it's gone! Every Festival Hoods is designed based on the original shape and structure of the Afghan so individual styles may vary.
