This month's Lunar Gathering will be led by Emily Rose Duea, E-RYT500.

After stepping onto the mat in 2004, Emily Rose has been no stranger to the mental, physical, and spiritual healing powers of yoga. Emily Rose has shared her love of teaching yoga internationally in China, France, and Senegal. She is thrilled to be back in the Minnesota Yoga community and is ready to share intuitive and fun classes with her students.
When not trying on mala beads at the studio or with her nose in a book. Emily Rose loves going to coffee shops and doing theatre around the twin cities. She is so thankful to all of her teachers from Power Yoga (1 and 2), Yin Yoga (1 and 2), Yoga Sculpt, Chair Yoga, Kid's Yoga and Hot/Hot Power Fusion  Teacher Trainings and every student she meets who encourages her to keep learning.

Please note! The October New Moon Meditation is filled to capacity. If you are interested in being added to the waitlist, please RSVP and fill out the form (be sure to include your phone number so we can contact you if anything opens up)!

This month's New Moon is in Libra, a diplomatic air sign. Libra's influence brings feelings of grace and peace. It is an extremely hospitable and idealistic sign. Libran energies can have superficial tendencies, especially in regards to appearance.

A little more on the Libra New Moon...

When the moon transits (or passes through) Libra, a sense of order and most notably, balance is yearned for (Libra's symbol is the Scales...not surprisingly). Unlike Virgo (where the moon has been transiting for it's previous cycle), expressions of balance will occur through striking harmonious interactions with others and a heightened sense of aesthetic to our immediate surroundings (Virgo approaches balance from a more analytical perspective, using the fine print and little details to find a sense of harmony).

Problem solving occurs with diplomacy and we are more able to take a pragmatic stance towards conflict. Emotions are not as likely to erupt under a Libra Moon, since during this time, peace and harmony are what we crave most. Pragmatism can be a great tool that becomes more readily available to us, however, avoidance due to being able to see both sides of a situation is this transit's biggest downfall, leaving us with un-addressed issues that need tending to. Decision making does not come easily, and confrontation is likely to be avoided at all costs--we are far more likely to save face for the sake of others' approval than to speak our mind and risk upsetting or loosing someone's faith in us.

After we meditate, stick around to enjoy some calming Turmeric-Ginger tea from the wonderful folks at Rishi Tea:

Rishi started in a windowless 400sf space in Milwaukee’s Third Ward, where loose leaf teas were formulated and hand blended in micro-batches for sale to cafés throughout the Midwest. "Rishi" means “one who is a seer, sage, or seeker of truth” in Sanskrit. For us it means constantly striving to learn more about tea and strengthening our connection to tea and botanicals and the people who grow them. We strive to reveal the natural truth to our modern society, which has become so far removed from gardens and kitchens, and overly dependent on labs for synthetic and processed beverages. As Rishis, we want to share some natural and simple alternatives for people to live healthy and delicious lives. Discover new teas and join us on a wondrous botanical journey to leave No Leaf Unturned.
